Application Instructions:
Duties and responsibilities
- Issue of receipts and keeping of money in safe custody;
- Banking of takings promptly and intact;
- Preparation of payment vouchers and writing of cheques against approved
vouchers;
- Preserving paid vouchers and other financial documents e.g. remittance advice,
cancelled cheques etc;
- Maintains Cash Book (Cash Disbursement Book + Cash Receipt Book);
- Maintains Management Information Register;
- Maintains imprest records and issues imprest monthly statements not later that
5th of the succeeding month;
- Payroll and all statutory deductions to be remitted to respective Authorities in
time;
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements;
- Perform any other duties assigned to him/her by the superior
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or its equivalent from a recognised higher learning
Institution;
- Ethical and high degree of Integrity;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Kiswahili;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong personal and professional references;
- Computer literacy coupled with accounting packages will be an added advantage.
Remuneration
Salary scale of NIP 6 and fringe benefits.
Age
Not above 30 years.
