The National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS)
The National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) was established in 2004 as a programme under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW) Mainland and Zanzibar. It was established through a cooperative agreement entered into by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW) Mainland and Zanzibar. NBTS is charged with assuring the availability of adequate and safe blood and blood products in the country.
NBTS in collaboration with the United States Government (USG) through CDC, American Association of Blood Bank (MBB) and Field Epidemiology Lab Training Program (FELTP) are planning to conduct a study to establish the current pattern of blood use in transfusion facilities, quantification of national blood demand and estimation of actual national blood needs in Tanzania. The overall goal of this project is to determine how much blood the NBTS should collect annually.

To administer the operational systems so as to process accurate, timely and sufficient information.
Major Activities of the Job
(i) Set-up and administer system for daily operations.
(ii) Distribute returns to data entry operators.
(iii) Assist in the preparation of reports (management and daily operations).
(iv) Take backups of data files (computer systems).
(v) Fill incident reports (system problems).
REMUNERATION
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates.

responsible for making new government contacts at the national level, and
assessing the most important non-government contacts for One Acre Fund's policy
agenda. This position will host national-level officials for strategic visits
to our field operations.
Manage
local government relationships: This position will manage the work of a local
government officer to maintain positive relationships at the local level.
Country-level
and regional policy agenda research: The Tanzania government relations analyst
will conduct research to support the creation of a well-informed policy agenda
for our organization for Tanzania and East Africa.
