The Touch Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving access to essential quality healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa. We enhance the access to essential quality healthcare through training, deployment and retention of skilled health workers such as physicians, nurses, lab technicians as well as improving the healthcare delivery systems to enable the provision of care by the health workers.
 
Qualifications of successful candidate
 
Knowledge, Education and Experience
 
 
· Masters degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and/or professional accounting qualification preferred.
 
· At least 3 years of relevant professional experience required
 
· Demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting and bookkeeping
 
· Strong procurement experience, including costing and pricing of goods and/or services
 
· Experience in data collection and management for financial management
 
· Experience working in a not for profit and a USAID-funded organization preferred
 
· Good judgment and discretion to represent the Touch Foundation in a highly professional manner, as well as respect for local culture

JBFC is seeking a dynamic, fun-loving individual who is passionate about children, social change and is eager to help change lives in Tanzania, East Africa. We operate a girls' home, school, healthcare clinic and farm in a rural village in Tanzania.
 
Primary Tasks Include, but are not limited to:
 
· Oversee all day-to-day operations on the 
Kitongo campus 
· First-responder to Human Resource issues that arise within the staff on campus
 
· Responsible for hiring some laborers (cooks, housekeepers, etc) and consult with ED on other departmental hires.
 
· Maintain a mentoring relationship with JBFC's residential girls and students. Help diffuse confrontations between children and generally help nurture their development. Will also work with matrons to handle severe discipline issues for residential girls.
 
· Keep constant communication with the Executive Director
 
· Acting Country Director when Executive Director is absent
 
· Oversee campus and departmental budgets
 
· Oversee daily finances and cash box procedures
 
· Record and track all campus finances in QuickBooks online
 
· Purchasing and Inventory of supplies for all departments (oversee managers and shoppers)
 
· Lead the 
Kitongo Management Team- weekly meetings

Violin Teaching Fellow

Umoja
 Music School is seeking candidates for our Violin Teaching Fellowship. Applicants must have a background in music performance (violin) or education and if possible Suzuki violin pedagogy training. 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
i
) Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Executive Director of Umoja Music School (and Umoja Arts Project, the U.S. based non-profit) 
ii) Teaching a minimum of 20 hours per week paid and at least 2 hours of paid outreach work with our community program
 
iii) Helping with performances and other events that happen at 
Umoja regularly 
iv) Collaborating with the other members of the 
Umoja teaching staff as a creative ensemble and creative learning team to develop innovative ways of working together as peers and with the students 
Location: 
Arusha, Tanzania 
Dates: Ten month contract minimum to begin in August and end the following June each year. Extensions possible based on performance.
