ADMINISTRATION MANAGER– ONE POSITION – DAR ES SALAAM
 
Job Summary
 
The Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth administration of the Dar es Salaam Office as well as providing oversight on administrative policies, procedures and legal affaires for the Country Office. In Dar es Salaam the Administrative Manager oversees the functions of, logistics, vehicles operations, procurement and inventory management and general office administrative support including maintenance. The position holder is a member of the Country Office Senior Management Team.  The incumbent provides input to country Office policies and procedures. The Administrative Manager is responsible for ensuring that all administrative functions in all CARE Tanzania program offices are implemented in accordance with the Country Office’s policies and procedures.  S/he plays a key role in advancing the Country Office’s strategic plan in regards to ensuring our administrative functions are supporting the shift to program approach that focuses on impact groups.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/ Procurement or Business Management or any other related field;
  • Working experience in a senior position for at least 5 years in International NGO l;
·         Very sound knowledge of regulatory policies and practices relevant to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and experience of leadership in this area;
·         proven ability in management of both policy/strategy development and administrative issues;
·         Experience of budgetary, financial, procurement, security, logistics and fleet management;
·         Practical experience in immigration regulatory matters in organizing and managing work permits for international staff;
  • Proven matrix management, effective interpersonal skills and strong capacity building skill;
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills;
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel;
  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS and participatory approach and sustainable development.
