Management of Tanzania Breast Cancer Foundation.
A cancer specialist from India, Dr PS Sridhar, is expected in the country this week to provide free screening for cancer in Dar es Salaam, according to a statement released by Regency Medical Centre chairman Dr Rajni Kanabar.
The specialist will conduct one-day diagnostic and Cancer Screening Camp for all types of Cancers on Thursday.
The statement said the specialist comes from HCG Group, Bangalore, India which is the largest cancer centre in South Asia.
“This is a good opportunity for Tanzanians
with such problems to come and see the specialist to get advice on
treatment and also a good opportunity for those patients treated in
India to have an expert follow up treatment in Tanzania, Dr Kanabar
said.
He said the Group is collaborating with
Regency Medical Centre to help Tanzanians with cancer problems who need
to go to India for the treatment at affordable rates.
