Actions for Democracy and Local Governance (ADLG) is a dully registered national non-government organisation (NGO) advocating for active citizens participation, democracy, and local governance in Tanzania. Both, the fourth multi-party general elections of 2010 and the current state of affairs of Tanzania’s local governance have highly motivated the establishment of this initiative.
ADLG enables young people, men and women, students and scholars, farmers, teachers and journalists in deepening and enhancing their abilities to actively promote democratic governance at village ward and district levels. ADLG works to challenge practices, promote innovations and critical thinking and inspiring citizens (men and women) to create and further a momentum of active citizenry.
